Taserface is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with the Guardians of the Galaxy. He debuted in Guardians of the Galaxy #25 in 1992.
Originally known as Overkill, a member of the Stark, a violent, technologically advanced race from the planet Stark-7, he challenged for leadership and earned his new, somewhat ridiculous moniker as a mark of supposed intimidation and respect.
His powers include enhanced strength, speed, and durability. Taserface utilizes advanced Stark technology, particularly energy weapons integrated into his armor. His signature weapon is a taser cannon which is where his name comes from.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Taserface was portrayed by Chris Sullivan in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. His character is presented as a Ravager, under Yondu Udonta, and is initially shown as challenging Yondu's authority. He is portrayed as more comedic than his comic book counterpart, especially regarding his name, which is often mocked by other characters.
